Carolina Moncion Design is a family-owned Design Firm. For more than 15 years they have helped homeowners in the City of San Antonio, Texas and Garden Ridge, Texas  create comfortable and timeless living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens and bathrooms. They believe the surroundings you live in should be a reflection of who you are. Their goal is to provide personalized design services their customers will find convenient.

Humble Beginnings

In the year 2000, a workroom under the name Harrogate opened in the city of Converse, Texas. The focus was to manufacture custom drapery, bedding and lite upholstery for the local home industry. When the building recession struck, Harrogate was still able to provide the seamless customer experience  their clients had received and still expected. Many workrooms went out of business but Harrogate thrived due to its customer service and quality craftsmanship.  In 2008, it quickly found itself as one of the few remaining drapery and bedding workrooms in the city of San Antonio. As a result, the owner  – Carolina M. Trinidad  – found herself working 16 hour days, seven days per week in order to satisfy  each customer or risk not being able to deliver a product that would satisfy the demand of the growing gap in this essential  trade to the industry. She needed a way to grow and personally connect with the end-consumers that she was designing for and through other design firms.

The Decision to Go back to School Changed Everything

The journey through Interior Design and Kitchen & Bath Design allowed Harrogate to be more involved in the design process. While it offered design services from the beginning, it began to change into a one-source service for homeowners and designers alike. In 2016, the decision to re-brand took place and it turned into a private label for its clients: Carolina Moncion Design, and with that, it merged its custom bedding and drapery fabrication with in-house design services and 3D drafting for renovations, home additions and the home-building  process. Thanks to this merger of all services that are home-related, including the ability to preview your space or home before you decorate or build,  the business can create deeper and more personal relationships with customers through digital recommendations. Now Carolina Moncion Design  uses the drafting software to show their clients how furniture is optimally placed, what colors will make the greatest impact, what fabric will evoke the greatest feeling by bringing the homeowner’s ideas to life.

Not Just Drawings and Paint

Since these services were added, Carolina Moncion Design has helped homeowners see the value of change via design services. They delight their customers with a personalized design, in-home consultations, and private presentations, including their own password-protected page and is now  considered a luxury [ yet still affordable ]  service that relieves homeowners of the burden of not knowing the results of their investment.  As a result, they have designed, styled and renovated homes across Texas  with each homeowner’s personalized style. They have also gained the interest of many homeowners in Schertz,  Cibolo, New Braunfels and Boerne, as well as many of San Antonio’s design colleagues, builders, and contractors that are looking for precise results at the end of their project. With every project, the result is the same – Carolina’s mission since the day she opened the workroom –  to help you love where you live “because no matter how big or small the home is, we all deserve to feel that way about it. We all deserve to come home to a space we can love and be proud of.”
